Nothing says Christmas quite like a handmade stocking! Join me for a fun-filled day of precision piecing as we create one of two delightful stocking patterns designed by Katrina Thomas of The Hope Chest.
Will you choose the elegant Nordic Star Stocking or the sweet Peppermint Stocking? You really can't go wrong—both are guaranteed to become treasured holiday decorations for years to come!
These stockings may look intricate, but with the help of Studio 180 Design tools, you'll be amazed at how easily the units come together. I'll guide you every step of the way, sharing tips and techniques to help you achieve crisp points, accurate seams, and beautiful results.
The Nordic Star Stocking features a stunning Lemoyne Star accented with coordinating units to create a festive Scandinavian-inspired design. We'll use the Rapid Star Lemoyne Star™ tool along with the Tucker Trimmer 1™ to make precision piecing easy and enjoyable.
If candy canes and peppermint are more your style, the Peppermint Stocking is full of holiday charm! You'll use the Square ²™ tool (or Wing Clipper™) together with the Tucker Trimmer 1™ to create perfectly sized units that fit together beautifully.
Whether you're looking to decorate your own mantel or make a heartfelt gift for someone special, these stockings are a wonderful way to celebrate the season while learning techniques you'll use again and again. I can't wait to stitch with you!

Have you always admired the beautiful Alaska quilt by Edyta Sitar of Laundry Basket Quilts, but thought it looked too complicated? Let me show you a simpler, more accurate way to make it!
While the original pattern is designed using templates, in this class we'll "translate" the pattern to use Studio 180 Design Wedge Star™ and Tucker Trimmer 3™ tools. You'll discover how oversized piecing and precision trimming take the frustration out of quilt making and replace it with confidence.
I'll guide you through each step as you learn the Studio 180 Design method of creating oversized units and trimming them to perfection. When every unit is the correct size, the magic happens—points are sharp, seams match beautifully, and your quilt comes together with ease.
This class isn't just about making a stunning quilt; it's about learning techniques you'll use again and again in future projects. Better techniques really do create better quilts!
